Biofeedback for gliding

The target of this project is the early recognition of stress before the pilot realizes himself. The history has shown that amateurs as well as professionals start to press both pedals at the same time in stressfull situations which is a sign of beginning stress. Two force sensitive resistors (FSR) on the pedals measure the pressure and feedback via the joy stick is given. (For the mobile solution the FSR are in the shoes and the feedback is given via a device which is worn on the upper leg).
Based on this projects the performance in professional sports as well as the flight safety can be increased.
Secure Bed - The intelligent Bed
Together with the University of Applied Sciences Linz Spantec works on the development of an intelligent bed. This bed should measure weight, should recognize falls and should alarm in case of a possible decubitus.
Therefore existing care beds are extended with sensors based on the sensor platform NEON. A display at the lower side of the bed shows the measured values.
PIN - Patientenoriented integrated network
After a heart surgery a critical rehabilitation phase starts where a continuous monitoring of vital parameters is very important. In a cooperative research project vital parameters can be measured from home and will be transmitted via the internet to the Klinikum Wels-Grieskirchen. More information (german)...

TelemoniCare
The project TelemoniCare aims to increase the quality of care for outpatient persons. The result should be to create an optimized, patient oriented, mobile information management at the "Point of Care" and use telemedicine for medical care of multimorbid and chronical deseases.
With the help of the i-Residence system an user friendly infrastructure should result in order to develop a service concept for an overlapping, telemedicine based informationmanagement.

SMMART - Object monitoring
SecureMotion - mobile ECG

Based on the VPatch in connection with an ANT-capable smartphone we developed a solution for monitoring persons with heart problems. Therefore the patient carries a mobile ECG which automatically detects seven different arrhythmias. In case of such an arrhythmia an alarm via the smartphone is sent including GPS information in order to send help immediately.
